The Global Church

Global ministry has been a key focus for Bible Visuals International, essentially since its inception in 1959. Our formats, writing guidelines, and illustrations are all designed with international audiences in mind—what will translate well? How can we make our materials as accessible as possible in remote or hard-to-reach areas? Revelation 7:9 refers to “a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages” standing before the throne of God in eternity. BVI strives to make resources that God can use to add to this number from the next generation, opening doors so that children from every nation, tribe, people, and language have the opportunity to see Jesus. These are some of the ways we pursue this goal.

Equipping International Christians & Missionaries

For pastors, missionaries, and ordinary Christians who serve outside of North America in non-English-speaking regions, access to Christian literature—especially for children—is often limited. Even if those resources exist, if there isn’t a way to purchase them in-country, international shipping fees can be prohibitive. With this in mind, BVI’s entire library is available digitally for instant download at a low cost—including our large library of translations (see below for more info!).

Even beyond our digital & translated materials, BVI frequently works one-on-one with individuals interested in our materials to help meet their needs, whatever they may be. Sometimes this means getting creative with shipping and delivery methods, adjusting formats, or donating used or imperfect materials to those who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford them.

Discounts may be available for missionaries and other international faith workers. For more information and to discuss your individual ministry needs, please contact us.

Facilitating Translations

Translations have been a key aspect of BVI’s ministry for decades. Over our 65 years of operations, individuals and organizations have used our materials with speakers of other languages and put effort into translating our teaching texts. In many cases, these translated texts are passed along to us to be offered to anyone else who might benefit from them. Through these kinds of efforts, BVI has nearly 80 different languages represented across our resources. Most materials are available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, but you’ll also find some resources in more obscure languages like Urdu, Haitian Creole, and Mongolian.

Building Partnerships

Sometimes our international contacts have larger needs than can reasonably be met through our standard distribution methods. In many cases, this has led to official licensing and distribution partnerships, allowing other organizations to print and distribute select BVI materials in their own language and region. Each of these partnerships looks different—for a missionary in Papua New Guinea, we helped curate a customized curriculum of Visualized Bible Lessons to meet the unique needs of rural public school Bible clubs. On the other hand, for an Arabic publishing organization based in Lebanon, we granted permission for them to translate, print, and distribute several titles from our Family Worship Series.
