Just received an email from our ministry partners, Tim & Leandra Hawes. They arrived back in PNG in February after a furlough and have renewed their efforts to introduce the Journey of faith curriculum in PNG public schools.
The Journey of Faith materials integrate 200 BVI Bible lessons and are designed to be taught over 5 years through grades 4 to 8. The BVI staff has worked with the Hawes to design the curriculum to meet the particular needs of the PNG release time program.
During the Hawes furlough they were able to print enough samples of the curriculum to share with important leaders in the country who could see the curriculum adopted as the official release time curriculum in PNG.
The Hawes container with the samples is due to arrive by the end of May and will take about a month in customs. Continue to pray for the Hawes to have favor with leaders as they move forward with this project.
